Donald Tiscareno (b. 1941, Los Angeles) discovered his love of art early and has been painting since the age of five. After attending Los Angeles city schools throughout his life, he received a Masters Degree in Art from California State University, Long Beach. His resume boasts both an illustrious 40 year career as an interior designer, between 1970 and 2010, and many years experience teaching art at high school, junior college and university levels.
As a painter his focus is on lush oil paintings of landscapes and flora indigenous to the Southwestern US with an emphasis on cacti and succulents, and mixed media abstracts which combine oils, acrylics and other techniques including paper cutting and collage. His exhibition record includes multiple group exhibitions and in excess of five one man shows in recent years.
As prolific as he is proficient, his ever expanding body of work offers a dazzling and diverse exploration of color, form and texture.
